Michaelas Folkloremuster haben mich so ziemlich einmal um die Welt geführt. Letzte Station: Mexiko. Mir war eingefallen, wie ich die Muster auf meinem großen Frida-Kahlo-Bild gemalt hatte. Das habe ich an meine geniale Praktikantin Celia verschenkt, deshalb habe ich jetzt eine Art Freestyle-Interpretation des Originalfotos gemacht. Frida trug ganz bewusst traditionelle mexikanische Kleidung anstatt dem damaligen Trend zu folgen und sich á la Hollywood anzuziehen. Einen tollen Artikel darüber gibt es hier.
Michaela's folklore pattern guided me all around the world. Last station: Mexico. I was reminded of the large Frida-Kahlo-painting I once made. Since I had given it away to my genius volunteer Celia, I now made kind of a freestyle version of the original photo. Frida consciously wore traditional Mexican clothes (Tehuan style) instead of following the trend to wear Hollywood style dresses. You can find a great story about it here.
